BTU Calculator

A BTU (British thermal units) calculator is used as a guide to give you the correct output needed for heating your desired room. Variables such as room dimensions, room location, window size and building material are used to determine the number of BTU’s you need to heat your space adequately. Just remember that the figure is the total number a room demands and larger rooms may require more than one radiator.

What is a BTU?

A BTU (British thermal units) calculator is used as a guide to give you the correct output needed for heating your desired room. Variables such as room dimensions, room location, window size and building material are used to determine the number of BTU’s you need to heat your space adequately. Just remember that the figure is the total number a room demands and larger rooms may require more than one radiator.

Why is it important?

Ensuring accurate BTU calculations is crucial. Opting for a radiator with inadequate heat output will stop your room from reaching its optimum temperature. On the other hand, selecting a radiator with excessive heat output might lead to unnecessary heating expenses and wasted energy. The flexibility of radiators allows easy adjustments to suit your needs.

How do I use the calculator?

To use our BTU calculator, all you need is the measurements of the room in metres you wish to heat and some basic information about the room (type of room, type & number of windows and external walls).

Note: The figure calculated will be at Delta T50, and is a total figure for the room – you may need more than one radiator in your room depending on the result.
